From the shores of Maui...
The Last Resort began as a tiny boutique in Kihei, Maui, Hawaii in December of 2004, specializing in unique lines of gauze and cotton clothing for the islands and other vacation destinations.
Its founders, Paul and Kathleen Twelker, were well aware that people wanted to be comfortable in warm climates. From their experience as owners of two boutiques in Sisters, Oregon, located in the High Desert just east of the Cascade Mountains, they found that both residents and visitors looked for the right fit, the right style, and the right colors that fit into the area’s climatic extremes. A few years later, the e-commerce store was launched, helping to bring our distinctive apparel lines to a global audience with the same level of personal service enjoyed by our retail store visitors.

In June of 2013, The Last Resort moved to a spacious facility in the heart of downtown Sisters, Oregon as we wished to be closer to family. Through the years, locals and visitors returned time after time, often with friends and relatives. The local Nugget Newspaper documented our return to Sisters with a wonderful article.
After five wonderful years, we decided to simply life a bit by continuing our e-commerce business without our retail store. Whether you are from the pine forests of Central Oregon, the dry desert of the Southwest, the rolling green hills of Iowa, or the wind-swept seashore of Maine, you will still find distinctive and comfortable fashions that people have enjoyed for the last two decades.
